In the early morning hours of November 24, 2024, Blount County Sheriff's Deputies received a call of gunfire into an occupied dwelling in the Dean's Ferry area of Hayden. At the time of response there were no injuries resulting from the gunfire. A prompt investigation began by Blount County Sheriff's Department Investigators and on-scene law enforcement. After witness interviews and evidence found on the scene, possible suspects emerged. The criminal investigation is ongoing and leads regarding those suspects are being followed. Specific details of the investigation cannot be shared at this time and will be shared as soon as possible without hindering further investigation. This event is not suspected to be an at large violence threat to the area. The victim is not suspected of any criminal activity leading to the shooting and part of the investigation will be motive.
